Guess who’s back! Finally, I’ve come out of my writing hiatus, with a new perspective and new goals. Thinking why am I trying to keep up with the Joneses?? I’m doing it my way! With this new fresh start I decided to pay off my debt starting with my car and boy does it feel great! I am currently paying off my final credit card and plan on living below my means. If I can’t cover the cost within 30 days of the purchase I will not charge it.
I am very passionate about fashion, but I will not go into debt trying to make sure I have the latest bag or piece of clothing anymore! Not saying I won’t purchase it just trying to avoid impulse purchases. I truly believe fashion is a circle, therefore I try to make purchases that are timeless pieces, such as this beautiful skirt from Zara.
I recently had a birthday on November 11th in which I turned 45 years old. It was a wake-up call for me, as I am 5 years away from being 50 years old. Therefore I have started my 5-year plan. Some new changes I’ve incorporated are narrowing down my planner collection to just my Bullet journal, in which I maintain my budget and Todo list which keeps me on track.
Another change is sticking to a workout routine 4-5 days a week. I started this routine in August of this year, after seeing a picture of the weight gain in my face. Lol, I must admit I didn’t like what was staring back at me! My workouts are now a habit in which I love. They relieve stress and anxiety which I face day to day as a mother, employee, and aspiring entrepreneur.
My ultimate goals are to save for a home and plan my future retirement. Please follow my blog and subscribe to my youtube channel, Being Meka J to follow my journey. I am now an open book and will be sharing the ups and downs of this path. Thank you for stopping by…God Bless!
45? Where? Looking good! And good luck to you and your new ventures.
